Savoring the Flavors of Kaprow Khunphor: A Gastronomic Delight at On Nut’s People Park!

One day, Hayaban, an energetic wombat, came to People Park in On Nut, Bangkok.
People Park is located on Sukhumvit 77, also known as On Nut Road, and is a fun mall with many restaurants.

One of them is a gaprao specialty restaurant called “Kaprow Khunphor,” which means “father’s gaprao,” and it looks kind of sweet.
Hayaban took a peek inside the restaurant through the glass.

The restaurant is very stylish, with shiny wooden floors and white chairs.
The tables are decorated with flowers and round lights shine gently from the ceiling.
There were many menus lined up at the entrance, and a delicious looking gaprao was pictured.

Hayaban’s eyes sparkled and he exclaimed.
“Wow! The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful! I can’t wait to go in and eat gaprao!
『Sekai no Yama-chan』 is good, but I really want to try the Holy Basil!”

There was also a 『Sekai no Yama-chan』 in People Park. But this time we decided to go into this gaprao specialty restaurant.

Spicy Gapao Moo for Just 119 Baht!

Hayaban, the curious wombat, carefully compared the menu and finally chose the spicy Gapao Moo for 119 baht.

Gapao Moo is a Thai dish made by stir-frying holy basil and pork (moo), served with fluffy white rice, creating a vibrant and colorful plate.

When the Gapao arrived, Hayaban peeked in with great interest.

“Yay! I ordered the spicy Gapao Moo for 119 baht!
But I’m a herbivore, so I won’t eat the moo!
Basil and rice are my targets!
It looks so yummy, so I’m gonna dig in!”

Though Hayaban can be a bit selfish at times, he’s a kind-hearted wombat at heart.
He munched on the basil and rice, showing a happy, beaming smile.

Hayaban finished the spicy Gaprao Moo, eating only the basil and rice!
But it was too spicy, and he looked a little tired as he said,
“Yay! I finished the Gaprao! But it’s so spicy, I’m huffing and puffing!”

“The picture on the wall looks like a dad! It feels so comforting!
I’m gonna take a little break!”

With that, Hayaban dozed off right there for a nap.

The end!

A Wombat’s Tale of Enjoying Super Delicious Tonkotsu Ramen at Ganso Akanoren Setsuchan Ramen in Tenjin, Fukuoka

Wandering around Tenjin

A small wombat was walking leisurely down a busy street in Tenjin, Fukuoka Prefecture. His name was Manager.

What appeared before Manager was a nice restaurant called “Ganso Akanoren Setsuchan Ramen Tenjin Honten”. The red and white brick was swaying in the wind, giving off a nostalgic retro atmosphere. The signboard read “Established in 1946,” and there was a warm atmosphere as if we were back in the good old days.

A large signboard shone above the entrance, and below it, a small wooden board was gently inscribed with the words, “The original Aka-noren”. A red lantern was also hanging, as if gently welcoming Manager.

Manager looked at the scene and said, “Hmm, this atmosphere is very wonderful. It might be a good idea to get a little closer,” he murmured.

You can stay forever

Manager quietly walked through the curtains of the “Ganso Aka-noren Setsuchan Ramen Tenjin Honten” (Original Setsuchan Ramen). Immediately, the aroma of delicious soup wafted through the air. The restaurant was bustling with activity, and all the customers were slurping their ramen happily. The counter was lined with red curtains, as the name implies, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.

Manager sat down at the end of the counter.

“Hmmm, it’s a very lively and heartwarming space,” he said. This atmosphere is really comfortable.

Creamy, rich and extremely tasty tonkotsu shoyu ramen

As Manager waited at his seat, the pork bone ramen from the original Akanoren Setsuchan Ramen was finally delivered!

The bowl placed in front of us was filled with a milky white, creamy broth. Super-thin flat noodles swam in the soup, while chashu pork and chopped green onions added a splash of color. Just by looking at it, the aroma of rich pork bone broth wafted through the air, causing Manager’s stomach to growl.

Manager held the leek in his hand and took a sip of the soup first.

This is…! The deep richness and umami flavor filled his mouth. The perfect balance of soy sauce and pork bone broth is wonderful.

Slurping the ultra-thin flat noodles, the broth was soaked up, and it was as if happiness was spreading all over my body. Manager closed his eyes and enjoyed the taste of the soup.

Manager finished off his pork bone ramen, and his heart and stomach were very satisfied. He savored every drop of the soup and left the warm restaurant.

Outside, the sign “Ganso Aka-noren Setsuchan Ramen Tenjin Honten” caught his eye again. Seeing the red lanterns swaying in the wind, Manager stopped in his tracks and snapped a quick picture.

Manager’s small figure smiling for the camera was a blur in the bustling Tenjin district.

Panda Juice Cafe in Oshiage, Tokyo is Irresistible! Drowning in a Fairytale Full of Pandas

A Fairytale Encounter in Oshiage

On a sunny day, two wombats, Uga and Manager, arrived in front of “Panda Juice” in Oshiage, Sumida Ward, Tokyo. This is a charming shop quietly nestled at the foot of the Sky Tree.

At the storefront stands a large panda stuffed toy, as if welcoming visitors, holding a sparkling mirror. Reflected in that mirror is the Sky Tree, making it feel like the entrance to a magical kingdom.

Manager murmured softly, “Fam, what a lovely atmosphere. Let’s go hear a little more.” Meanwhile, Uga, brimming with curiosity, hopped around energetically, exclaiming “Uga, Uga!” and delighting in their own reflection in the mirror.

Like a Magical World

As Uga and Manager stepped inside “Panda Juice,” they were greeted by a fairytale-like world filled with countless stuffed toys. The walls were adorned with colorful trinkets and plushies, while warm orange lamps hung from the ceiling, casting a gentle glow. A clock ticked steadily with a “tick-tock,” and on the wall, a board labeled “FACTORY SERVICE” was decorated with cute ornaments, as if the pages of a storybook had come to life.

Manager murmured calmly, “Wow, what a lovely space. It might be nice to enjoy some tea here.”

Meanwhile, Uga bounced around energetically with “Uga, Uga!” cries, thrilled at the sight of colorful fruit juices and snacks lined up on the counter.

Inside the shop, there were panda stuffed toys too, making it feel as though new friends had joined them. A kind shop assistant welcomed them with a warm smile. On the tables, green houseplants were casually placed, enhancing the whimsical atmosphere even further. In this enchanting space, it felt like something fun was about to happen.

Mr. Giant Panda

As Uga and Manager wandered around the shop, a large panda stuffed toy caught their eyes. Dressed in a red and checkered shirt, this panda had soft, fluffy fur and a gentle expression, almost like a guardian deity from a story.

Manager stood before it, gazing quietly and murmuring calmly, “This is a lovely panda. It might be nice to hear a little about it.”

Meanwhile, Uga hopped around it energetically with “Uga, Uga!” cries, bursting with excitement over the panda surrounded by colorful blankets.

Uga has a smoothie, while Manager enjoys a hot apple ginger drink.

The sweetness of the apple pairs perfectly with the ginger. Feeling warmed up, Manager is thoroughly pleased.

Taking a Break on a Bench

After enjoying their delicious juices, Uga and Manager decided to rest for a bit on a bench draped with colorful blankets. Next to the bench, a large soft-serve ice cream-shaped light glowed gently, casting a sweet, dreamlike atmosphere throughout the shop.

Manager sat down quietly and murmured calmly, “Fam, resting here feels so pleasant. It’s lovely to see outside too.”

Meanwhile, Uga hopped around the bench energetically with “Uga, Uga!” cries, eyes sparkling with excitement at the soft-serve light.

Kappa Appears

Manager and Uga’s adventure at “Panda Juice” was finally reaching its climax. As they left the cafe, they were greeted by a large green stuffed kappa. With its yellow beak and big eyes, this adorable kappa looks like a special character to end the story.

Manager and Uga were standing side by side on the beak of the kappa, as if they were a monument to the journey they had completed together. Manager calmly says, “Hmmm, that was a wonderful memory. This kappa is one of us,” he smiled.

The cafe manager smiled and suggested, “Shall we take a picture?” The lady at the cafe suggested with a smile,

She lined them up in front of the Panda Juice sign and snapped a picture. It was the perfect moment to end this fairy-tale trip with a commemorative photo.

Manager and Uga were given one last ride on the panda. They seemed to be regretting their last ride.
